CBI registers five FIRs related to Vyapam scam

vyapam-scam1New Delhi, Aug 3 -The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on today registered five FIRs related to alleged Vyapam scam. The total number of cases filed in connection with alleged irregularities in examinations conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board has gone up to 28 so far. The first case has been registered against two accused persons on allegations of cheating by impersonation in the constables recruitment examination-2013 (II). The CBI registered a second case against unknown accused persons on the allegations of leakage of question papers in the patwari recruitment examination-2008. The CBI has taken over the investigation of the said FIRs after the Supreme Court directed it to enquire into the cases which were earlier registered by the Madhya Pradesh police.
