Four killed in accident on Yamuna expressway

Mathura, Four people were killed while three others sustained serious injuries after a speeding car crushed them at the Yamuna Expressway in the Surir area of this district in Uttar Pradesh on Monday. According to the police, the car, going from Noida to Agra crushed 7 people, who were standing on the roadside at kilometer number 84 of the Yamuna expressway, resulting in on the spot death of three people whereas another succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at a hospital. Police said that the accident happened at 0900 hrs. The injured were admitted to a hospital and the condition of all three of them continues to be serious. Police said that the car driver has been taken into custody. The deceased have been identified as Surendra (32), resident of Pratapgarh, Dharmendra (40), resident of Haryana, Bhikam (50) and Mahendra (60) residents of Delhi. All of them were standing on the roadside at the time of the mishap.
