India finish on top at ISSF World Cup

New Delhi, India finished on top in medal tally with four medals with three gold and a silver in International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) world cup which ended on Sunday. This was the second time India finished on top in the medal tally. India won three gold and one silver medal in the competition while host China won two gold, two silver and one bronze medal securing second position. In the previous edition, India had topped the medal tally with Hungary in Delhi. At the ISSF World Cup, India secured five quotas in shooting for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic. Abhishek and Saurabh secured the Olympic quota in 10m Air Rifle event while Divyansh clinched the quota in 10m Air Rifle event. In women's, Anjum Moudgil and Apurvi Chandela secured an Olympic quota in the 10m Air Rifle event.

On the last day, young shooter Manu Bhaker, was at 17th spot with a score of 586 in 25 meter pistol qualification of women, while Asian Games gold winner Rahi Sarnobat 26th spot with 579 score while Chinki Yadav could not make it to the summit clash of the 25m Pistol event and she was on 56th with a score of 570. In the women's 50 meter rifle, Gaayathri, Sunidhi Chauhan and Kajal Saini finished to make it to the finals of the Women's 50m Rifle 3P event. Gaayathri in qualification round was at 19th spot with a score of 1169, Sunidhi Chauhan with a score of 1160 was on 42nd spot while Kajal Saini stayed at 60th with a score of 1142.
