Militants abduct army jawan in Kashmir

Jammu, : An Indian Army soldier was abducted by suspected militants in south Kashmir on Thursday, according to reports.
A rifleman in the 44 Rashtriya Rifles, the jawan was on leave when the incident took place at around noon Thursday, reports said.
The jawan was with his friend and they were travelling through Old Mughal Road when the militants abducted him, reports said.
Aurangzeb, posted with the Army's 44 Rashtriya Rifles in south Kashmir, is a resident of the Pir Panjal Valley and was on his way to home, apparently for Eid.
According to media reports the jawan was part of the operation that led to the killing of Hizbul terrorist Sameer Tiger.
