Patna: The main opposition party in Bihar RJD today alleged that formation of BJP government in Karnataka was murder of democracy and violation of Constitution and announced to stage dharna here tomorrow against it. RJD vice-president and former union minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh told newspersons here that the party would stage dharna at Gadanibagh in the state capital to register its protest against formation of BJP government in Karnataka. He said besides Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejaswi Yadav,
all prominent RJD leaders and workers would participate in dharna and invited allies of grand alliance to participate in the dharna. The party would also hold dharnas and organise other agitational programmes at the district headquarters across the state, he informed.. Mr Singh said Congress should have entered into a pre-poll alliance with Janata Dal (Secular) in Karnataka as BJP would have been completely wiped out in the assembly election in such an event.
He said that Congress polled 2 per cent more votes than BJP but sill it bagged fewer seats in the election. He said all non-BJP parties should learn lesson from the outcome of Karnataka assembly election and subsequent developments leading to formation of BJP government in the state. Questioning Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala's decision to invite BJP to form new government in the state, Mr Singh said Supreme Court`s verdict in S R Bommai case was also disregarded as the preference should have been given to post-poll alliance over single largest party in absence of a pre-poll alliance for formation of the government in Karnataka. He said Karnataka governor by giving 15 days time to Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa had only 'opened gate for horse-trading'.
