Congress misrule will catapult BJP to power in Karnataka: Muralidhar Rao


Bengaluru, The ruling Congress is facing a stiff anti-incumbency factor due to its misrule during the last five years and this will help BJP recapture power with a comfortable majority in the May 12 election in Karnataka, party election in-charge P Muralidhar Rao said here today.
Speaking at the meet-the-press programme organised by Press Club of Bengaluru and Bengaluru Reporters Guild, the BJP leader said the party would win at least 150 as was targeted by it and bounce back to power as people were fed up with the corrupt Congress rule.
He said the Karnataka election will be historic as it will set the tone for the BJP retain power at the centre with a repeat performance in 2019 Lok Sabha elections, as compared to its win in 2014.
He said chief minister Siddaramaiah had become a desperate man as he had realised that Congress would lose this election.
In the last one year, he had initiated many moves that were unwanted after keeping quiet for four years.

Bengaluru, Apr 16 (UNI) Janata Dal-United headed by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday released its first list of 15 candidates for May 12 election to Karnataka Legislative Assembly.

JDU (Nitish Kumar) State President Mahima Patil, son of former Chief Minister J H Patel will be contesting from Channagiri Constituency.

The party, which is having tie up with BJP at national level, has ruled out joining hands with BJP in the May 12 Assembly election and will contest for 30 seats.
