Three killed, 2 injured as car collides with TNSTC bus

Tiruchirapalli: Three persons were killed and two others seriously injured when a luxury car in which they were travelling collided with a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) bus at Kodamanaickenpatti junction near Viralimalai on the Tiruchirapalli-Madurai four-lane, here today. Police said the occupants of the ill-fated car were coming to their native Tiruchirapalli after an excursion to Courtallam water falls in Tirunelveli district. The driver of TNSTC town bus was attempting to enter into the service road to reach Viralimalai, when the car driver rammed the vehicle into the bus. The front portion of the car was completely mangled due to the impact of the collision. The dead were identified as S.Mohammed Khader (32), M.Sabiyullah (37) and A.Mohammed Kasim (29). The injured were rescued from the ill-fated car and was admitted to K.A.P.Viswanatham Government Medical College Hospital for treatment.
