BSF jawan injured as Pak violates LoC truce in Poonch

Jammu: A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan on Friday got injured in an incident of cross border firing as Pakistan violated the ceasefire agreement on the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. "A BSF constable suffered an injury in his leg on Friday morning when Pakistan fired unprovoked on the LoC in Bhimber Gali area of Poonch," a BSF official said here. He said that the jawan was rushed to the Command Hospital in Udhampur, while his condition is now stable. "Own troops also retaliated to the firing effectively," said an official. Two days back, an Army jawan got injured in Rajouri when Pakistan fired unprovoked for hours after exchanging sweets in Poonch on Diwali.
