Vijender Gupta, NCW chief lauds resolution seeking abrogation of Article 370

New Delhi, Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta and National Commission for Women chief Rekha Sharma on Monday lauded the Centre for moving a resolution in Rajya Sabha seeking abrogation of Article 370 (3). Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Mr Gupta said,'Bharat Mata Ki Jai! #Article370 goes in the dustbin of history. Home Minister @AmitShah proposes its end in the Rajya Sabha. My congratulations to the entire nation.' 'It was Syama Prasad Mukherjee who sacrificed his life to see #Article370 go. Following on his footsteps, it was PM @narendramodi who made it happen. Today the entire nation watches in joyous disbelief how India's destiny is being realised by sons of soil. #Article370scrapped,' Mr Gupta added. Ms Sharma said,'Only this Gov. Could do this...article 370 finally to go go going. This was long long due. @AmitShah ji and @narendramodi ji many congratulations.' 'Kashmir is an Union territory and so are Jammu And Ladhakh. That is a master stroke. Brave step @AmitShah ji @narendramodi ji,' the NCW chief added. Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday moved a resolution seeking abrogation of Article 370 (3) amid Opposition uproar. He also moved a bill to provide status of Union Territory to Ladakh and a separate Union Territory for Jammu and Kashmir. Mr Shah moved Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bill, 2019. The Home Minister said Ladakh will get status of Union Territory without Legislature.
