Strong rumour that former Bidhannagar mayor Sabhyasachi Dutta may join BJP as he flown to New Delhi

Kolkata, TMC legislator Sabyasachi Dutta, whose hobnobbing with BJP leader Mukul Roy during Parliament polls had cost him his mayoral post at the Bidhanagar municipality last month, today flew to New Delhi for "business purpose" amid rumours that he might join the saffron brigade as did former Kolkata mayor Shovan Chatterjee. "Anyone can go to New Delhi and my purpose is for business," Mr Dutta, who is also the MLA from Bidhannagar, told the reporters at Dum Dum airport today. "If I need to meet to any BJP leader for any business purpose then I must see them because they are the leaders of the country now," Mr Dutta said while rejecting a question why he was going to New Delhi merely two days after Shovan Chatterjee joined the saffron camp. An independent observer, who keeps records of the recent developments, said,"Politics is also a business of the politicians to save their identity or else they would be lost in oblivion from main stream rajnity." Mr Dutta, who was forced to quit the mayoral post of Bidhannagar municipality for his alleged indifference to the ruling party and his proximity to Mukul Roy,has been critical against the leadership of the TMC on various issues, especially after he offered 'Loochi Alurdom' to Mukul Roy over a "friendly conversation" at his residence during the Lok Sabha polls.
