Over 400 contract diarrhoea after bhandara, discharged

Barwani, MP,: Over 400 people contracted diarrhoea after consuming 'bhandara (fest)' organised at an 'ashram' located at the banks of the Narmada River near Peepri on the occasion of Mahashivratri yesterday, health officials said.
"All 435 affected people admitted in three private hospital and the District Hospital have been discharged.A few others were provided treatment at the local level," said Chief Medical and Health Officer VB Jain today. A team of doctors was dispatched to villages again today for conducting door-to-door survey and ensuring that no one remained affected. District Collector Tejaswi Nayak said that nearly 180 people were affected more while other people had normal complaints.
