CBIs notice to Mohammedan Sporting Club after club officials admitting to have donated funds got from Narada

Kolkata: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), probing the Narada news sting operation that shown many West Bengal ruling Trinamool Congress leaders receiving wads of notes, served summon notice to Mohammedan Sporting Club in the city after its two office bearers allegedly admitting to have donated funds to the club of Narada money. TMC's Lok Sabha member Sultan Ahmed and his MLA brother Iqbal Ahmed, who is also the deputy mayor of Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC), have allegedly admitted to have donated funds which they had received from Narada to the century-old club. The CBI demanded furnishing of accounts paper and audit report from the club. The CBI had also arrested an official of East Bengal last year in the case of Sarada chit fund scam.
