Oppn leaders, including JD (U) leader Sharad Yadav, attend meet on VP polls


New Delhi: The Opposition parties, including the Congress, Left parties and the Janata Dal (United), are meeting in the capital today to decide about the united opposition candidate for the Vice Presidential polls. The meeting is being attended, among others, by Congress president Sonia Gandhi, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Senior Parliamentarian Sharad Yadav is attending the meeting on behalf of the Janata Dal (United). The meeting began with the leaders observing silence for a while to pay respect to those who were killed in yesterday's terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir, sources said.
