RJD says Tejaswi will not resign, all eyes on Nitish


Patna: Amid speculations over fate of Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Prasad Yadav following CBI registered case against him in connection with Railways hotels tender scam when his father and RJD chief Lalu Prasad was Railway Minister from 2004 to 2009, the RJD today announced that Mr Yadav will not resign as his performance during the tenure of minister for the last one and half year was superb. The official announcement to this effect was made by senior RJD leader and Bihar Finance Minister Abdul Bari Siddiqui who told media persons that a resolution was unanimously passed in party Legislators meeting held at 10 circular road, the official residence of RJD chief Mr Prasad. Mr Siddiqui said that Mr Yadav would continue to be leader of RJD Legislative party in Bihar assembly as all MLAs present in the meeting supported in chorous, the resolution that performance of Mr Yadav had been superb during his tenure as minister and he was not required to tender resignation in the wake of CBI raid and lodging of an FIR against him. Finance Minister said that CBI raids at the residence of RJD chief Mr Prasad and 11 other locations across the country on July 7 in connection with alleged irregularities in leasing out Railway hotels to private parties during his tenure as Railway Minister from 2004 to 2009, was nothing but a conspiracy of BJP to harass Mr Prasad and his family members, misusing the premier investigating agency. The meeting of RJD legislators condemned the attempt of Narendra Modi government to unnecessarily harass the secular parties who raised their voice against its flawed policies, he informed.
