Mallya case: SC adjourns contempt of court case to July 14

New Delhi: The Supreme Court today adjourned the matter pertaining to the contempt of court case against controversial businessman and liquor baron Vijay Mallya to July 14. A bench of the apex court, comprising Justices Adarsh Kumar Goel and Uday Umesh Lalit, also asked the concerned MHA lawyer to apprise it on Friday, regarding the implementation of its May 9 order. Mallya had filed a review petition in the apex court against its May 9 order, which is pending in the apex court. Mallya was convicted by the top court of the country earlier in connection with the contempt of court case. The extradition proceedings are being conducted at the UK Court.
