Vadra wants govts to ensure women safety

New Delhi: Robert Vadra, the son-in-law of interim Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, on Sunday urged the Centre and state governments to make sure that the women are safe in our country. Taking to twitter, Mr Vadra said that he also has a daughter and he worries for his safety. ''Women's safety, is the most important issue in our country. I have a daughter too, I worry for her safety,'' he said. He urged the Centre and state governments to ''wake up and act before another incident occurs;to implement serious laws and make sure that women our safe in our country''. The gang rape and murder of an aspiring 27-year old veterinary doctor brought under sharp focus the safety of women in the country. The charred body of the victim, a resident of Shadnagar on the suburbs of the state capital, was found in an underpass adjacent to the Bangalore-Hyderabad national highway-44 and Rajiv Gandhi International Airport early Thursday.
