UP govt shifts 6 senior IPS officers: New head of L&O in UP police

Lucknow, The Uttar Pradesh government on Friday transferred six senior-most Indian Police Services(IPS) officers and appointed a new chief of Law and Order in the state. According to principal Secretary(Home) Arvind Kumar, present DG/ADG law and order Anand Kumar has been made DG jail administration while ADG Varanasi zone P V Ramashastri will be the new ADG Law and Order. ADG (Vigilance) Braj Bhushan will be the new ADG , Varanasi zone while ADG Police recruitment Board, Lucknow Dipesh Juneja will be ADG security. ADG (prisons) Chandra Prakash(1) has been made ADG in the Rules and Manuals while ADG Security Vijay Kumar has been made ADG UP Police Recruitment Board.
