Country is more secure and united after abrogation of Article 370: Amit Shah

Sangli, Maharashtra, Union home minister Amit Shah has said that the country is more secure and united after the abrogation of Article 370 that gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir and its bifurcation into two union territories. Addressing a mammoth rally at Jat tehsil in the district Thursday afternoon, Mr Shah, who is also the BJP president, said that Congress party had totally neglected the security of the country, while Modi government abrogated Article 30 to get rid of problems like terrorism and bring peace and prosperity to Jammu and Kashmir. Mr Shah hit out at Congress and Nationalist Congress Party for opposing the NDA government's decision to abrogate Article 370 for vote bank politics. He said "not a single bullet has been fired and not a single person has been killed in J&K after the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5. We taught a lesson to Pakistan with Balacot attack and surgical strike. We have been successful in exposing Pakistan for their terror activities and isolate them at the global level." Mr Shah lauded the performance of Devendra Phadnavis government in Maharashtra, that completed its five year tenure. He said, Mr Phadnvis took various development works to the door step of the peoples during the past five years. He called upon people to ask Congress and NCP leaders about what they did during their long rule in the state.
