Shripad Naik, Jitendra Singh lay foundation stone of IHAMP in Bhaderwah


Jammu, : Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for AYUSH Shripad Yesso Naik and Union Minister of State in Prime Minister Office (PMO) Dr. Jitendra Singh on Saturday laid the foundation stone of Institute of High Altitude Medicinal Plants (IHAMP) in Bhaderwah town of Jammu and Kashmir's Doda.

The estimated cost of this project is Rs. 100 crore to be established in the lush green valleys of charming region of Bhaderwah. The institute will be a pioneer in research about medicinal plants and will also help the farmers in cultivation of medicinal plants in scientific ways.

Training and capacity building in field of medicinal plants shall generate the employment opportunity for unemployed youth.

Later, Shripad Yesso Naik and Dr. Jitendra Singh also inaugurated special camp for registration under AYUSHMAN Bharat at community hall Bhaderwah. 200 eligible beneficiaries were enrolled on the spot and Golden cards were distributed among them.

Joint Secretary Ministry of AYUSH Roshan Jaggi, CEO National Medicinal Plants Board Ministry of AYUSH Dr. Tanuja M. Nesari were also present on this occasion.
