Kejriwals leads march to LGs residence on CCTV issue

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal along with his Cabinet Ministers and MLAs on Monday took out a march to Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal's residence on the issue of installation of CCTV cameras in the national capital. Mr Kejriwal along with his Cabinet colleagues and MLAs began the march this afternoon from his residence situated at 6, Flagstaff Road, and it will proceed towards the LG's residence. The Ministers and MLAs of the AAP government carried placards in their hands asking the LG not to halt the CCTV project under the BJP's pressure.

On Saturday, the Chief Minister had announced that the AAP ministers and MLAs will march up to the LG's house on Monday, to urge him not to follow BJP's directions on the issue of CCTV. He had charged the LG with blocking the project on installation of CCTV cameras in the city after Mr Baijal constituted a 'committee' to evolve a standard operating procedure/framework for installation, operation and monitoring of CCTVs.
