Kejriwal should be Pad Man for Delhi govt school girls : Kiran Walia

New Delhi, Hitting out at the AAP government over ignoring the education and health issues of Delhi government school students especially girls, former education and health minister Kiran Walia on Sunday alleged that the AAP government has not touched the budget allocated for the 'Kishori' scheme under which the sanitary pads were provided free of cost to the girls studying in the government schools.
Ms Walia stressed on the fact that girls who went to the government schools mainly came from economically weaker sections and were being benefited from the scheme that was started by the Congress government in 2012.
'A girl who enters puberty and during menstruation faces lot of problems especially while in school and such girls who come from poor families refrain from going to school due to this problem and keeping in view these issues, the Kishori scheme was started by the then Delhi government'.
