AAP slams political visits to temples

New Delhi, Amid row over Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi's visit to Somnath temple, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday slammed political leaders for visiting 'temples' during elections and said if they visited schools, every child in the country would get better education.
"If there was a tradition of schools visit instead of 'temple' before the elections, every child of the country would get better education," AAP senior leader Manish Sisodia said in a tweet reacting to frequent visits of both Congress and BJP leaders including Mr Gandhi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to temples in the run up of the Gujarat Assembly polls, scheduled to be held in two phases on December 9 and 14.
