Festival of Lights aftermath: Delhi air quality slides


New Delhi: A day after Deepavali, air quality level slid to severe level from very poor in Delhi.
The decline took place despite the apex court restrictions on the sale of sparklers in Delhi and the National Capital Region.
At many places, the quality air index (QAI) in Delhi and NCR regions were recorded on the higher side.
As per the data released at 1400 hrs on Friday by the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR) the PM10 and PM 2.
5 at Lodhi Road were as high as 676 and 905 respectively.
