Cong criticises use of abusive language by BJP leader against party spokesperson

New Delhi: Congress today criticised use of abusive language by BJP leader Prem Shukla against party spokesperson Priyanka Chaturvedi. In a statement, AICC spokesperson and new chief of the All India Mahila Congress Sushmita Dev said, ''abusing Priyanka Chaturvedi shows the twisted mindset of the BJP leader. '' Mr Shukla had allegedly used derogatory words while responding to a tweet by Ms Chaturvedi, who while promoting a blog, had said, "The BJP is frustrated by one speech (made at University of California) of Rahul Gandhi." ''Frustration is evident from the statements of the Congress and its 'Roopjeeva' (a women using beauty as her usp ) spokespersons, '' Mr Shukla tweeted Ms Chaturvedi protested against the words used by the BJP leader and asked BJP president Amit Shah to intervene. She then posted another tweet explaining that Mr Shukla had used derogatory words against her. She questioned the morality of the BJP as a political party and its respect for women. Praising Priyanka Chaturvedi for her response to the derogatory tweet by the BJP leader, Ms Dev said, ''She is vocal, confident & fearless. Proud of her.
