New Delhi, Delhiites witnessed a hot morning on Saturday with minimum temperature settling at 29.4 degrees Celsius , two notches above season's average here. Relative humidity in the morning was pegged at 49 per cent, weatherman said. So far, there seems to be no respite from sultry weather for the national capital as temperature was already 42 degrees C between 1100 hrs and 1200 hrs recorded at Palam area, he said. Strong surface winds are likely to be present during the day with the sky likely to be mainly clear, the Met official said. Air quality in the city was under the poor category with an index value of 213 at 1100 hours , as per the Central Pollution Control Board. Maximum temperature during the day is likely to hover around 44 degrees Celsius. On Friday, the maximum temperature settled at 45.2 degrees Celsius, five points above season's average.
