Kapil Mishra lands in controversy by his tweet on father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi

New Delhi, Amid the controversy generated by Sadhbi Pragya's remarks on Nathuram Godse , rebel Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Kapil Mishra on Friday stirred a row by saying that if Nathuram Godse had not killed Mahatma Gandhi then perhaps Bapu would not have been considered so great and big by this country. In a tweet on Friday, Mr Mishra said, ' If Godse had not killed Bapu then perhaps Bapu would not have been considered so great and big by this country.

Those who are ruling by becoming fake Gandhi perhaps would not be there today.' In another tweet earlier, the AAP rebel MLA said, 'If one has to choose between Godse and Bapu , then India will always choose Bapu, but, If choice is between Sadhvi Pragya and Digvijay Singh then every Indian will choose Sadhvi Pragya. Simple & Plain Truth.' Mr Mishra's tweet comes amid controversy on statement of BJP Bhopal Lok Sabha candidate Pragya Singh Thakur on Mahatma Gandhi. BJP's Bhopal Lok Sabha candidate and Malegaon blast accused Pragya Thakur on Thursday lauded Mahatma Gandhi's assassin Nathuram Godse as a "patriot", sparking an outrage from the Opposition. However, the BJP has distanced itself from pro-Godse remarks.
