Delhiites witness morning with poor air

New Delhi: Delhiites woke up to another morning with bad air, with average air quality falling under 'poor' category on Thursday morning. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the air quality index (AQI) at 0900 hours this morning was 293, falling under the poor category. At several areas, the air quality was even under 'very poor' category, with index value more than 360 that included heart of the city Connaught Place's inner circle with AQI at 391. Even green areas did not have good air in the capital, where air had stared deteriorating after September this year. Reportedly, the capital had satisfactory air quality after a long time through out September. Delhi government has decided to implement Odd Even scheme and several other measures in view of the problem as part of their winter action plan against bad air quality beginning in November.
