Jalaun : Good amount of rainfall in Bundelkhand region has kindled the hope of bumper crops and facilitated home coming of people who had left this rugged region in search of employment when this area faced famine like situation in the past several years.
The country, which has been facing severe shortage of pulses, can also get some relief as Bundelkhand region is known for pulses' cultivation and this season, the farmers are expecting good crops in the region which could certainly give a push to the country's pulse stock.
“The rain has brought my son back to village. The trains and buses that had taken our children to distant places is bringing them back home. They are here because of rain. We have hope that this year we will have good crop and our children will not have to go out to eke out their living,” Suraj, a resident of village Sanam in Orai of the Jalaun district said.
