Bulandshahr gangrape: Cong demands Prez rule in UP

Lucknow : After BJP and BSP, now Congress has also targeted the Samajwadi Party government in Uttar Pradesh, by demanding President's rule in the state over the deteriorating law and order situation. "Without any further delay, President's rule must be imposed in Uttar Pradesh," said UP Campaign committee chairman and Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh, after visiting the residence of Bulandshahr victims in Noida today. "Keeping in view the law and order situation here, it will be inappropriate, if President's rule is not imposed in UP," the Amethi leader said. Mr Singh was accompanied by UP CM nominee and former Delhi Chief minister Sheila Dikshit, who also announced that Congress will get the victim girl admitted to the school of their choice. She said Congress was ready to help the victim's family with legal and other help they need. Ms Dikshit also did not spare UP CM Akhilesh Yadav saying," Akhilesh ji jaag jaao. Logon ki hifaazat karna sabse pehla kartavya kisi bhi sarkaar ka hota hai, aur aap nahi kar pa rahe.( Akhileshji wake up. It is the primary duty of any government to protect the people of the state but you are not doing it.) Meanwhile, UP Mahila Congress activists today held a silent demonstration in the State capital over the Bulandshahr gangrape incident.
