BJP women wing agitate demanding arrest of Nasimuddin Siddique

Lucknow : To keep the momentum going on Dayashankar Singh episode, the Mahila morcha of BJP today staged a big protest in the Uttar Pradesh capital demanding arrest of BSP leader Nasimmuddin Siddiqui. Thousands of BJP women assembled near Parivartan chowk and were marching towards Ambedkar statue at Hazratganj when police stopped them near the K D Singh Babu stadium. There was some minor clashes between the women and the security personnel but the march could not go further. The BJP leaders alleged that the ruling Samajwadi Party was in nexus with the Bahujan Samaj Party hence trying to protect Nasimuddin Siddique. Ms Anupuma Jaiswal, the state general secretary of the women wing, alleged that BJP would continue to stage such protest in the `samman’ (honour) of the daughter of expelled BJP leader.

" The BSP leaders used derogatory words against minor child. The police have lodged case against Dayashankar but why no action has been taken against BSP leader,” she questioned. She said this it is heartening to know that BSP leader Mayawati, despite being a woman, has defended her party leaders who used derogatory words against the wife and daughter of expelled BJP leaders. “We have expected sagacity from a national leader like Mayawati – who was Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh thrice. Instead of showing compassion towards that little daughter she defended her party leaders and explained in detail as what exactly they (workers) meant when they said beti aur biwi ko paish karo,” Ms Jaiswal said.
