BJP to announce UP Assembly candidates from next month: Maurya

 Bareilly : Uttar Pradesh BJP president and Lok Sabha member from Phulpur Keshav Prasad Maurya today announced that the party will start releasing the names of the candidates for 2017 Assembly elections from next month. "Though the issue of Ram Temple at Ayodhya is in the agenda of BJP, but in UP Assembly polls, the party will contest on the issue of development," Mr Maurya told mediapersons here, while reiterating that BJP would win 265 seats in the state Assembly polls. Criticising UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav for having double standard and doing politics over water crisis in the state, he said," on one hand, the UP government refuses to accept water sent by the Centre, but on the other hand, is demanding Rs 10,600 crore from the Centre." Mr Maurya defended the BJP's slogan of ' Uttam Pradesh', which was the old slogan of Samajwadi Party and said it is only BJP, which can work on the agenda. "SP and BSP have looted the state during the past 14 years and now, the power would go in the hands of BJP for better future of the state," he said. Commenting on the bad law and order situation in the state, the BJP president said every individual in the state is suffering from the bad governance. "Farmers are not getting water for irrigation, while the bad law and order situation has increased atrocities against women," he added. "BJP will throw out the SP government in UP like it did with Congress at the Centre in 2014, " he claimed, while adding that SP and BSP are two sides of the same coin.
