Hyderabad:  Bharatiya Janata Party President Amit Shah today said the party was determined to spread its wings in the nook and corner of the country particularly in southern states. He said that the party was focusing on Telangana because a victory in the state in 2019 would be a gate way to the entire southern region and asked the state party leadership to prepare a road map in this regard. Mr Shah told newsmen at Nalgonda this evening that party leaders including Ministers should spend at least 15 days among the people in a bid to expand the party footprint ahead of the 2019 polls. He said that the NDA government headed by the BJP took over the reins of power after its predecessor regime left behind a legacy of scams. During the three-year rule of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, not a single graft charge was leveled against it, Mr.Shah said, adding that the Modi government provided a corruption-free and transparent administration. He also listed out various welfare and development schemes initiated by the government for the benefit of all sections of the people. To a question, he said that both the centre and the states should work together with regard to increasing the number of Assembly constituencies and added that Parliament has power to increase the number of constituencies.
