BJP chalks out elaborate campaigning for UP polls through yatras, sammelans

Lucknow : Uttar Pradesh BJP has chalked out an elaborate campaigning programme before the announcement of the assembly election dates, with launching of at least four programmes to connect with the people. The party has decided to hold at least 30 big rallies of senior party leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president Amit Shah, Union ministers Rajnath Singh,Manohar Parikar and several others. There would be a big programme in every 75 districts during a fortnight. The party will already launch four Parivartan Yatras from four corners of the state starting from November 5 besides Yuva Sammelans, Mahila Sammelans and Backward Sammelans would boost the party rank and file to go before the masses, confirmed UP BJP general secretary Vijay Bahadur Pathak here today. The Parivartan yatras will begin from Saharanpur on November 5, from Jhansi on November 6, from Sonebhadra on November 8 and from Ballia from November 9. All these yatras would be flagged off by BJP president Amit Shah in the presence of senior leaders. “These yatras will touch all the 403 assembly constituencies. MPs of that region and legislators will take part in these yatras. Meetings and rallies would be held at all important places where leaders will educate people about the mis-governance of Akhilesh Raj and also explain the good work being done by Mr Modi's government,” he said. Meanwhile, BJP will rope in the seven Chief Ministers of the BJP ruled states to campaign in the state during the Parivartan yatra which will end in Lucknow on the eve of the birthday of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on December 24 when Mr Modi will address a mamoth rally
