Patna : Bihar government is contemplating to move Supreme Court for cancellation of bail granted to suspended BJP MLC Tunna Ji Pandey in a sexual harassment case by Patna High Court. Highly placed sources said the state government is considering moving apex court for cancellation of bail granted to suspended BJP MLC in the sexual harassment case after Diwali to be celebrated on October 30. Mr Pandey was arrested on July 24 following a written complaint by the parents of a 12-year-old girl who alleged he had molested their daughter after asking her to come to the toilet while travelling in AC-2 coach of the Howrah-Gorakhpur Poorvanchal Express. BJP MLC, however, had vehemently denied the charge by saying, "I was just taking out my phone charger, didn't even know whether it was a girl who was sleeping or a boy." Hajipur Government Railway Police had filed charge sheet against the MLC under section 354 A (sexual harassment) of IPC and section 10 and 12 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act 2012. The BJP had suspended the MLC within a few hours of the alleged incident, which had taken place on July 24.
