"Bharathiraja never accepted me as an actor


Chennai:  Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth said, versatile film producer and director Bharathiraja, who was one of the architects in shaping up his film career, had never accepted him as an actor. He (Barathiraja) always says that he (Rajini) was a good human being whenever journalists, during interviews in the past asked his opinion, Rajini recalled in a lighter vein,at the launch of Bharathiraja International Institute of Cinema (BICC) here last night. Whenever journlists ask him about his opinion on Rajini as an actor, he will say he was a good human being'. 'He never accepted me as a good actor I could always read his mind voice, ‘How do people accept him as an actor?’,’ Rajinikanth said. Bharathiraja, who first introduced Rajini in '16 Vayathinile' in 1977, says he was happy that he has played a small role in the actor's career. ‘I saw Rajinikanth as a simple guy when he played the villain in 16 Vayadhinile. Now, he has reached unattainable heights in his career', he added.
