Lucknow: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will launch a smartphone application for Uttar Pradesh urban local bodies’ polls of 2017 by August to know about the problems of citizens. UP AAP spokesperson Vaibhav Maheshwari said here today that AAP would contest civic polls in all 15 municipal corporations across the state. The campaign strategy would be in accordance with the problems faced by local people. “The mobile application will be used in all areas so that we can know the nature of problems at ward level.
With most urban people using smartphones these days, they will have to download the app and share the problems in their respective wards,” he added. Yesterday, the state unit of AAP organised a training session for ward in-charges of Lucknow and the latter were briefed about the campaign strategies to be adopted for the elections. The Lucknow unit of AAP has started preparing ground for the civic polls. The city unit has been active for the last one year and raising civic issues like corruption in Lucknow Municipal Corporation and lack of basic amenities in the city.
