New Delhi : Shifting its strategy for Indian market, the Alibaba Mobile Business Group’s subsidiary arm 9Apps today announced its entry into the fast growing e-commerce space.
9Apps will now offer multiple and exciting new features on its app for shopaholics, along with its existing role as India’s leading provider of android apps and games, the company said in a statement. It is being expected that the move would benefit 9App's 250 monthly active users (MAUs).
Announcing the launch of the service, Ebrahim Popat, Country Manager, 9Apps said, “9Apps is the first app marketplace to offer these services to users. With these features, we aim to become a one-stop solution for our users and help them shop smart. 9Apps is much more than just a tool to download apps and games. We are on a constant look out for ways to evolve user experience.”
9Apps plans to offer Comparative Pricing where users can compare product prices from eight different sellers that include Paytm, Flipkart, Myntra, Snapdeal, Jabong, Askmebazar, Voonik and Shopclues.
The Discount Aggregation/Coupon Zone is a one-stop shop for all discounts and coupon codes available on 9Apps, it added. The company has also launched social media contest asking its users to share their crazy and funny shopping stories.
