7 pilgrims die, 45 injured in road mishap near Sirsa



Sirsa:  Seven pilgrims were killed and over 45 others injured in a collision between two canters near Sahuwala and Panniwala villages in this district late last night. The accident took place around 2330 hrs. While a canter, carrying pilgrims from Fazilka in Punjab, was returning after paying obeisance at Gugga Marhi, the other was on its way from Fatehgarh Sahib to a religious place near Bhadra in Rajasthan. Six people, including a woman, died on the spot while another succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The injured were taken to the government hospital in Sirsa and two seriously injured were referred to a private hospital.
