article-2712447-202A1DA200000578-310_634x399Lucknow, Aug 12 - Seven kanwariyas were killed and 41 were injured in two separate road accidents in Uttar Pradesh during the past 24 hours. A police report from Lakhimpur Kheri district said three kanwariyas were killed and 6 others were injured when a tractor-trolley in which they were travelling overturned under Mitauli police station area today. The incident happened when the tractor-trolley overturned near Tendua roundabout and three kanwariyas died on the spot. The kanwariyas were returning Maholi from Gola Gokarannath temple. After the incident, the kanwariya staged protest and blocked the highway. In another incident in Jaunpur district, four kanwariyas were killed and 35 others were injured when a bus in which they were traveling collided with a stationary truck in Madihau police station area here last night. Police sources here said among the dead three are women. The private bus carrying the Kanwariyas of Ambedkhar nagar were returning from Vindyaanchal when it collided with the stationary truck near Shivpur by-pass at around 0130 hours. The deceased were identified as Sashikala(30) Dharamshila(60), Anita(30) and Ajay Sharma (35). Among the 35 injured, condition of three were stated to be critical.
