6 killed in separate incidents in UP

Lucknow : At least six people, including two policemen and four children, have been killed in separate incidents in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said here today. Two policemen deployed at the Wireless department were killed near district hospital when their vehicle dashed against the divider late last night, the sources said. The deceased were identified as Umesh Kumar (40) and Vijendra (39) and both died on the spot. In another incident in Mirzapur district, a boy and his sister were electrocuted in Chilha area when they tried to save their grandfather, who came in contact with a live wire last night. Police said the incident occurred in Semra village where Rajendra Dubey(70) came into contact with a live wire. In an effort to save him, grandson Rohit(18) and granddaughter Sonam(20) also got electrocuted. While both the siblings died at the hospital, the elderly man was critical and admitted to the hospital. Another police report from Mahoba said that two children drowned when they fell into a ditch with full of water in Kherala area here last night. The children were identified as Khushbo(4) and one Abhay (10).
