5 drown in Chhattisgarh's Maini River, 1 missing



Pathalgaon : The bodies of five people – out of six who were missing after their jeep was swept away in Maini River in Chhattisgarh’s Jashpur district last evening – were found this morning, police said. Thirteen people, who hailed from Baturabahar village, were returning after attending a programme at a relative’s place when their jeep was swept away in the swollen river last evening. Seven people were rescued but six remained missing. When the vehicle was located this morning after water receded, the bodies of two men, as many women and a child was found inside it.
