According to a press release here today, the co-production market will kickstart with Open Pitch where selected filmmakers will pitch their projects to a curated audience of national and international producers, financiers and sales agents.
Actress Renuka Shahane’s Tribhanga, Geetu Mohandas’ Insha’allah, Devashish Makhija’s Bhosle, Mostafa Sarwar Farooki’s A Foolish Man, Pratim D Gupta’s Ink, Haobam Paban Kumar’s Manipuri film, Joseph’s Son, Abinash Bikram Shah’s Nepali film, Season of Dragonflies, One of the Bajrangi Bhaijaan writer Asad Hussain’s The Return are among the selected projects~ Among the animation category, the selected projects are Soumitra Ranade’s animation film, Man From Kabul and Ravi Shankar’s animation film in Sanskrit, Punyakoti.
The selected projects for 2016 are Apodartho (A Foolish Man), Bengali, Bangladesh, Bhosle, Hindi, India, Calorie, English, Canada, India, Dastaan-e-Awaargi, Hindi, India, Ink, Bengali, Hindi, India, Insha’allah, Malayalam, Hindi, India, Jhyalincha (Season of Dragonflies), Nepali, Nepal, JosephKi Macha (Joseph’s Son), Manipuri, India,, Kabuliwala (Man From Kabul), Animation, Hindi, India, Nonajoler Kabbo (The Salt in Our Waters), Bengali, Bangladesh, Punyakoti, Animation, Sanskrit, India, Ram Ji Ka Ghoda (The Dragonfly), Hindi, India, The Biryani Seller, Bengali, India, The Cineaste, Persian, China, Netherlands, The Sunshine, Tamil, India, The Umesh Chronicles, English, Hindi, India, Sweden, Tribhanga (Three Curve Bent), English, Marathi, India and Wapsi (The Return), Hindi, India.
Film Bazaar is a platform created to encourage collaboration between the international and South Asian film fraternities.
The market aims at facilitating the sales of world cinema in the region.
The 10th Edition of Film Bazaar will be held from November 20-24 in Goa, the release added.
